PENSACOLA, Fla.–2004–Office Depot, Inc.,One of the world's largest resellers of office products, today announced the grand prize winner of its "Work Hard Play Hard" promotion: Mrs. Janice Budd, a Pensacola area resident. Budd and her husband, Peter, are frequent shoppers of the Office Depot store located at 1155 Gulf Breeze Parkway in Gulf Breeze, Florida.
The month-long "Work Hard Play Hard" promotion was launched on April 25, 2004 in support of the company's industry leading ink, toner and fax supplies business. It offered Office Depot retail customers a chance to win a series of prizes through an instant win game.
Grand Prize-winner Janice Budd will wind down the summer in style with a luxurious all-expense-paid trip for two to Las Vegas with first-class service and a hotel and spa package. The value of the prize is $10,000 and includes $3,500 in spending money to use for their trip.
The prize presentation to Janice and Peter Budd will take place on Friday, August 27th at 10:00 a.m. at Office Depot's Gulf Breeze store.
"Office Depot knows that our customers nationwide all work hard and play hard, especially when it comes to running businesses of all sizes," said Robert Hill, District Manager for Office Depot. "This promotion was a novel way for the company to create excitement around the popular Ink Depot section of our stores, while delivering value to our customers. We salute Janice and all of our other hard-working customers, and are pleased to afford them the opportunity to win some great prizes and have some fun in the process."
"I was ecstatic to hear I had won and am definitely looking forward to this great getaway," said Budd. "My husband and I just spent our 35 anniversary in Las Vegas and we marveled at the grandeur of the Venetian hotel. We are thrilled to have the chance to experience it first-hand.

According to Hill — among the thousands of prizes awarded by Office Depot — ten first prize winners received an HP Media Center PC, while 150 second prize winners received an HP Digital Camera. Total retail value for all prizes was $295,000.
