Pitney Bowes/Acquisition: DDD Has $70M Annual Revenue
Pitney Bowes Inc. agreed to acquire DDD Co., a closely held provider of secure mail processing and messenger services, for $49.5 million.
In a press release Monday, Pitney Bowes said the government outsourcing firm will expand its document management capabilities and customer base. DDD will operate as Pitney Bowes Government Solutions Inc.
DDD, based in Landover, Md., has annual revenue of more than $70 million. The company employs about 1,200 full-time employees.
Pitney Bowes, a provider of integrated mail and document management services, posted 2002 revenue of $2.22 billion for the six months ended June 30.
