Japan’s Ricoh Group Invests in PCB Production in Shenzhen,China

Japan’s
Ricoh Group has accelerated its investment in Shenzhen city, Guangdong
province of China. A production line of high density PCB, which is the
‘heart’ of Ricoh’s Office Automation System is being constructed in
Fuyong county, Baoan district of Shenzhen. It is reported that Ricoh
Microelectronics Co., Ltd., with a total investment of US$16.8 million,
has been officially registered. Production is expected to begin in
July, 2006.
At present, Ricoh Group has 7 to 8 affiliated
enterprises in Shenzhen, which are the largest exporting companies in
the city. To further increase the supporting and production capacities
of Shenzhen, and to integrate all the factories and resources both in
Japan and the Pearl River Delta area in Southern China, Ricoh has
invested and constructed ‘Ricoh Industrial Park’ in Fuyong, Baoan. The
total area of the park is 50,000 square meters. Being a core enterprise
of the group, Ricoh Microelectronics Co., Ltd. has recently started its
process of entering into Shenzhen.
