New Multifunction Digital System Delivers Out-of-the-Box Results
WEST
CALDWELL, N.J., Nov. 05– Ricoh Corporation, the leading provider of
digital office equipment, today launched the AC205 Digital Imaging
System, a new generation in Ricoh desktop Multifunction Products
(MFPs). With advanced copier and network printer functionality, full
color and black and white scanning, high-end Super G3 Fax capabilities
and an all-in-one toner cartridge, the AC205 empowers workgroups of any
size to optimize productivity and out-perform their competition.
The
AC205 offers a PCL6 black & white network printing and digital
copying speed of 22 pages per minute, along with full-color network
scanning, G3 faxing capabilities and an all-in-one toner cartridge. The
system’s advanced digital copying and scanning allows for crisp, clear
prints and paper saving features, such as the ability to print both
sides of a document onto a single side of paper. In addition to a
maximum paper capacity of 550 sheets, the AC205’s 50-sheet bypass tray
enables users to print or copy directly onto transparencies, labels,
card stock, and envelopes, which not only reduces time and printing
costs, but also expands the versatility of the system within an
organization. Additionally, standard with 3 seconds per page G3 faxing,
and a generous 4MB memory capacity, the AC205 offers Printer Settings
Utility software that allows users the ability to manage their Address
Book from their desktop.
The AC205 is a compact, sophisticated
digital imaging system with network- ready capabilities that allows
offices to streamline document management. Featuring Scan-to-Email
functionality, users can scan full-color or black and white images,
photos or logos, and forward them directly to clients or vendors via
Outlook Express. Also standard, Readiris Pro 9 OCR Software converts
hardcopy documents into text format when scanned by the AC205 for easy
editing. In addition to sharing digital images and information, users
can remotely monitor and manage the AC205 through any Web browser using
the standard Web Image Monitor Type 103 software.
“Today, small
offices and workgroups, as well as home offices need to remain
competitive without paying a high price for technology,” said Hede
Nonaka, vice president of marketing for Ricoh Corporation. “To help
combat those restraints, Ricoh is proud to offer the AC205, a
cost-efficient, advanced digital imaging system that streamlines job
output through network printing, scanning, and copying.”
A truly
versatile and user-friendly MFP, the AC205 offers a USB Flash Drive
Port that enables users to print documents stored on a USB Flash Drive
or scan documents directly to a USB Flash Drive. Additionally, system
data can be downloaded to a USB Flash Drive — such as Phonebook
entries and system settings — creating a convenient, portable data
backup system.
The AC205 is now available at a suggested retail price of $620.00.
