Ricoh Aficio G7500 Awarded Buyers Laboratory’s ‘Pick of the Year ‘

CALDWELL, N.J., July 06 — Ricoh Corporation, the leading provider of
digital office equipment, announced today that Buyers Laboratory, Inc.
(BLI), the leading independent office products test lab and business
consumer advocate, has named the Ricoh Aficio® G7500 printer its Spring
2006 “Pick of the Year” for tabloid-size inkjet printers. The Aficio
G7500 was awarded this honor for its ability to effectively provide
small businesses with a cost-efficient, high-quality color printing
solution.”Receiving Buyers Laboratory’s ‘Pick of the Year’ Award is a
great industry honor and one that we hold in high regard,” said Nick

Corporation. “Ricoh is proud to have the Aficio G7500 selected as a
winner by BLI and aims to continue to bring first-class, innovative
products such as this to market.”With the Aficio G7500, small
businesses and home offices have an in-house solution that can create
outputs as big as 11″ x 17” at nearly 20 pages per minute (ppm). This
is made possible by its wide print heads that cover a larger printing
surface area to maximize productivity. Utilizing Ricoh’s own
GelSprinter technology, the G7500 uses a viscous ink that dries on
contact with paper, producing crisp black and white and color prints.
In addition, to keep total cost of ownership at a minimum, the G7500
features duplex printing capabilities, separate ink chambers to ensure
that ink is completely used before a cartridge change, and Level Color
Mode which enables the G7500 to print graphics and images while using
nearly half the amount of ink normally required.As part of the BLI
“Pick of the Year” Award process, all eligible document management
devices were put through thorough testing in which they were compared
to competitors within their respective categories. Performance was
rated on printing proficiency, quality of output, and relative cost per
page. Those that surpassed the competition in these areas were then
selected as BLI “Pick of the Year” Award winners.According to Tony
Maceri, senior test technician, BLI, the G7500 excelled in rigorous
tests measuring quality, ease of use, and cost-efficiency. “We are
impressed with the G7500’s ability to provide brilliant color output at
such an affordable cost of ownership. This is one of the most
productive business inkjets we’ve seen in the lab to date.
