Samsung introduces series of monochrome laser printers
Samsung
has launched the ML-3051ND and the ML-3051N monochrome laser printers
for small and medium businesses (SMBs) and three ML-2500 series
monochrome laser printers for small office, home office (SOHO)
customers.The ML-3051ND and ML-3051N are powered by a 400Mhz processor
and equipped with 64mb memory enabling fast print speeds of up to 30
ppm with a first page out time of approximately 8.5 seconds, a 35,000
page-per-month duty cycle and 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution. The compact
printer models reportedly provide flexibility and ease-of-use with a
550 sheet paper capacity (when fully configured), a two-line LCD
display and easy to use controls.The ML-3051ND also comes with an
auto-duplexing feature, which delivers duplexing speed of up to 21 ppm.
This can reportedly save customers time and money, especially with
larger printing jobs. Duplexing enables customers to print double-sided
prints, as well as more advanced tasks such as booklet printing, which
is ideal for presentations.Both printers also offer wired and wireless
network printing with high-speed wireless network connectivity as well
as ethernet connectivity. Additionally, they provide advanced
encryption and authentication for enhanced security.The company has
also released three ML-2500 series monochrome laser printers, the
ML-2510, ML-2570 and ML-2571N.The ML-2510 prints at a speed of up to 25
ppm, producing its first page in less than eight and a half seconds,
and a resolution of 1200 x 600 dpi, the company said. This printer can
be set up with no installation or rebooting, and has a ‘jamless roller’
design. It also has a one-button Toner Save feature, which reportedly
extends the life of a toner cartridge up to 40 per cent.The ML-2570 and
ML-2571N personal printers were created with the SOHO customer in mind
and offers a fast print speed of up to 25 ppm with the first page out
of less than nine seconds.Both printers also feature the Toner Save
feature and deliver 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution, network connectivity on
the ML-2571N model (optional on the ML-2570) for workgroups and a duty
cycle of 10,000 pages per month.These printer models are suitable for
general purpose printing for the SOHO and small businesses that require
PCL6, Post Script 3 emulations and networking.All the models offer
hi-speed USB 2.0 and IEEE-1284 parallel connectivity as well as
Windows, Macintosh and Linux compatibility. The ML-3051ND and ML-3051N
also offer ethernet 10/100 base TX connectivity.
