SHARP’S NEW DIGITAL IMAGERS MAKE OFFICE LIFE EASIER
     Unique dual-scan technology speeds workflow

A trio of new high-End business multifunction products (MFP’s) from Sharp offer dual-scanning speeds that average 115 percent Faster than competitive models. The new AR-M550/M620/M700 Digital Imagers have exclusive Scan2 Technology that scans both sides of a two-sided document in a single pass, saving time for office workers and saving wear and tear on the equipment. The units, available in January 2004, also feature best-in-class copy, print and faxing capability.

“In today’s environment, businesses need to exploit all advantages available to them; the new MFP’s from Sharp provide businesses with a competitive edge in operating efficiencies,” said Steven Feldstein, senior product marketing manager, Sharp Document Solutions Company of America. “Our advanced Scan2 Technology increases the scanning speeds of duplex documents to maximize the productivity of copying, as well as scanning to e-mail and scanning to document management applications such as Sharp’s own Sharpdesk(tm) product.”

Sharp’s new Digital Imagers feature an exclusive 150-sheet Duplex Single Pass Feeder that scans both sides of documents at 65 images per minute simplex/76 duplex, so even the largest jobs are done in a flash. Printing and copying speeds of 55/62/70 pages per minute with 600 dpi resolution are standard, depending on the model.

Available In N and U Series: Sharp’s latest heavy-duty MFPs offer added flexibility, with the availability of two different versions of each model, indicated by an N or a U at the end of the model number. The U Series is perfect for offices that need first-class digital copying. For higher-end needs, the N Series models are preconfigured with full network scanning and printing capabilities, as well as network device and data security. They can even be linked with another N Series Imager, for tandem printing over the network, to print documents simultaneously at different locations or maximize units during peak hours. A 64-bit, RISC 525MHz print controller and 40GB hard drive, offering unparalleled speed and processing power, are standard on both U and N series models.

MFPs That Can Grow With Your Business: The new trio of Digital Imagers can easily expand as a business ramps up to meet demand. A Network Scanner Expansion Kit, Super G3 Fax Expansion Kit, larger capacity paper trays and a choice of finishers (Two-Tray or Saddle Stitch) are just a few of the available options.

INDUSTRY-LEADING COLOR COPY SPEEDS AND FUNCTIONALITY

The new copiers not only produce high- quality color copies at 26 ppm (32 ppm in black-and- white), they print and scan as well. The AR-C260 P- Series printer can outperform most workgroup black and white printers as well as and handle color jobs since it’s a full-finishing 11 x 17 color printer. The AR- C260 M-Series Color IMAGER(tm) incorporates sophisticated features such as color network scanning and saddle-stitch, V-fold or three-position stapled sets.
