Staples posts strong Q2
Staples
has announced total Q2 revenue of $3.47 billion, compared to $3.09
billion in the previous year. Net income for the quarter rose 20 per
cent to $147 million.
EPS increased by 25 per cent to $0.20, beating
analysts’ expectations by a penny. Q2 North American retail comp store
sales increased 3 per cent with total growth of 9 per cent.

and CEO Ron Sargent said: “Our team delivered another strong quarter of
profitable growth through our commitment to making it easy for our
customers. We continue to drive sustainable market share gains through
consistent execution and focus on our growth initiatives.”
