Staples prepares for Chinese expansion
July 2005 – Beijing (CHN): Staples is reportedly planning to open a subsidiary in Beijing this autumn as part of the company’s wider Chinese expansion strategy. The retail giant has also disclosed plans to open office supplies superstores with direct sales in China this year.
Last August, Staples struck a joint venture agreement with the highly-successful Chinese internet and catalogue delivery business OA365.com, which has brought a number of big clients to Staples
