ELYRIA
— An Elyria woman is suing her former employer, saying she was sexually
harassed and forced to pay for more than $39,000 worth of toner she
ordered for the company.According to Alexandra Petranyi’s lawsuit, she
worked at Custom Chrome Plating Inc. in Grafton as the company’s office
manager from January 2004 through February 2007, when she was forced to
resign. The lawsuit accuses Jon Wright, the company’s president, of
making unwanted sexual advances including kissing, hugs and touching as
well as comments about her body. He also allegedly told her how often
he has sexual relations with his wife. The lawsuit, filed Friday in
county Common Pleas Court, also said that while working for the company
in 2005, she purchased $39,176 worth of toner as part of her duties,
but was told in October 2006 that she was responsible for paying off
the debt. Wright is accused of taking the amount through payroll
deductions. The lawsuit asks for more than $25,000 in damages.
