The award recognized Ricoh for its strong and compelling green technology. The focus point for this year is its new visual communication systems – Ultra Short Throw/ Short Throw projectors used to create digital signage, Unified Communication System (UCS) for TV conferencing and Interactive Whiteboard utilized at meetings.

The seamless collaboration of this new visual communication system is capable of facilitating a multi-location conference, which significantly reduces environmental impact and carbon footprint. This award also recognized Ricoh for its high level of commitment and performance in areas of corporate environment responsibility and innovation.

“At Ricoh, development of environmental technologies is one of the most significant effort made to realize sustainable environmental management. We’re very motivated being awarded for the second time as it has further recognized Ricoh’s continued effort in inventing sustainable technology towards building a harmonious environment. We will continue to strengthen our CSV (Creating Shared Value) concept to promote and grow our business together with the society so as to develop a sustainable environment for the future.” said Mr. Nobuaki Majima, Managing Director of Ricoh Asia Pacific & China.

Ricoh has been committed to sustainable environmental management since 1970s. This commitment is put into practice throughout the product life cycle from product design, production, marketing activities and customer services to end-of-life product. Such practices reduce the environmental impact, and at the same time, create economic value for the investors, clients and employees.
