    RICOH GETS NEW UK CEO

    The company’s chief operating officer gets a nudge up the career ladder with his new appointment.Ricoh announced today Philip Keoghan would be taking over the role of chief executive (CEO) in the UK.Previously chief operating officer (COO) at the company, Keoghan will replace David Mills, who has moved roles to executive vice president of operations in Europe.

    There has been no explanation offered as to why Mills is stepping down after two and a half years as top dog, but he has offered his support to the successor.“I congratulate Philip on his career development at the company,” he said. “I thank him for all his support as COO over the past 18 months, particularly the crucial role he played in the successful integration of the three UK businesses of IKON [where Keoghan was previously president], Infotec and Ricoh to form one strong UK business entity.”“Philip displayed exceptional people talent management and development skills throughout this time.”Keoghan has worked in various roles at Ricoh UK, with a career amounting to 31 years with the company. He now says he is “excited” at the prospect of “challenging times” in the leading role."I am fully committed to ensuring that our customers continue to see us as a trusted partner delivering strong business value and I look forward to developing new growth opportunities including IT Services,” he said.
