Xerox to lay off 275 local employees

new york jan 09 :News 10NBC has confirmed that 275 localXeroxemployees
will be laid off throughout the next month.These cuts are at the Xerox
facilities in Webster, the downtown square and Henrietta. The cuts are
in human resources, finance, marketing, training, product development,
engineering and other areas. No manufacturing or union jobs are
impacted by this announcement.Xerox says they are facing the same tough
times as other companies across the world and these cuts needed to be
made to stay viable as a company.Currently there are 7,400 local Xerox
employees in the Monroe County area. The company will be announcing
their 4th quarter earnings on the January 23.In October, Xerox
announced plans to cut its workforce by 3,000 people worldwide.
