columbia south carolina State Library Makes Cuts
While
folks are feeling the pressure around the state, agencies are
continuing to make big cuts across the board. The latest cuts are
coming out of the state library. Officials tells us the agency has
already issued a mandatory 10-day furlough for all of the staff, and
have put a hiring freeze on open positions. And that’s not all,
printers have been removed from all staff desks, which they say will
save about $6,000 on ink, toner and paper.
