E.R.S. SELL TONER & INK COLLECTION BUSINESS TO CLOVER HOLDINGS
Clover
Holdings Inc has acquired Environmental Reclamation Services (ERS). The
move aims to advance the growth of Clover’s collection programmes and
to meet market demand.According to a statement issued by Clover: “This
acquisition advances Clover’s strategy to be the leader in environmental
solutions and supports the diversification and growth of its collection
programs including laser and inkjet cartridges, cell phones and small
electronics.”Founded in 1990, and headquartered in Erie, Pennsylvania,
ERS is a global provider of environmental solutions including the
recycling and collection of printer supplies and small electronics. ERS
will operate independently in the market and will continue to service
its customers.Jim Cerkleski, CEO of Clover Holdings, commented
on the acquisition: “We are excited about this acquisition because it
advances our diversification and growth strategy. We will continue to
expand our collections programs and remanufacturing infrastructure as we
diversify into new and emerging markets and drive our ‘recapture,
remanufacture, remarket strategy.”Both companies will continue to
operate independently in their respective markets but “will work
together to leverage potential synergies in the future”.
