IRJ Inc. Specializing In Remanufactured Imaging Products To Dealer Networks And Outlets Worldwide.

IJR Inc. provides remanufactured imaging products to dealer networks and outlets worldwide. As you tour the following at http://www.ijr.com  you’ll see the value of the IJR name and the rewards that our years of experience may bring to your organization through our full line of products.

IJR, Inc. (formerly Pentec, Inc.) is a Privately held corporation founded in 1978 in Santa Ana, CA. The company has been under the same ownership since 1978 and corporate headquarters remained in Santa Ana until the entire company relocated to Phoenix, AZ in 1996. Since 1978, IJR, Inc. has specialized in products for the imaging supplies market. Initially, its products included plotter pens, industrial markers and specialty inks for these products.

With the emergence of ink jet technology in the printing industry in the early 90’s, IJR’s management began exploring ways to serve the explosive inkjet market. With its specialization in the plotter field and its expertise in both computer technology and pen and ink jet manufacturing – IJR, Inc. knew it had both the resources and the knowledge to offer the highest quality ink jet products and services. And, at a time, the company turned its full attention to the fast emerging ink jet market.

IJR’s view of the high potential for the ink jet printing market proved correct. By 1995, more ink jet printers were sold than any other printing technology. In 1997, ink jet printer sales reached a record $10.4 Billion. Today, two of every three printers sold worldwide is an ink jet printer. And the sales of ink jet printer cartridges continues to soar with the continuing dominance of ink jets in the printer market.

With the continuing demand for ways to "save money" on inkjet supplies — particularly inkjet cartridges — IJR put its own unique expertise to work by offering full service recycling at prices comparable to "do-it-yourself" refill kits. To make recycling particularly easy, IJR developed the first fully postage paid mailer — the Jetpak — for ink jet cartridge recycling. IJR later expanded its product line to sell the same high quality inks that it was using daily to produce more than 1 million ink jet cartridges annually.

Continuing demand by the dealer network for refill supplies and equipment lead IJR, Inc. to develop and sell a full line of refill and packaging supplies and equipment uniquely suited for ink jet recycling. The company also offers a full line of compatible non-OEM new cartridges for many popular printer models.

In the mid-1990’s IJR also saw opportunities to put its unique experience to work for OEM manufacturers of ink jet printers by developing business relationships to become manufacturing partners of these OEM’s. Today, IJR, Inc. works with a number of OEM vendors under proprietary contracts to produce and distribute supplies for OEM ink jet printer products.

As one of the pioneers in the ink jet recycling business, IJR is recognized as an industry leader. In 1996 IJR was the featured with a cover story in the leading industry trade publication — Recharger Magazine. IJR was the first ink jet recycling company to earn the cover spot on the publication. IJR staffers are in demand offer technical and marketing support to others in the industry and they give seminars throughout the country on the ink jet market. Today, IJR recycles more ink jet cartridges than any other company in the world – a leadership position it maintains because of its reputation for excellent product quality and innovation. In addition, IJR’s inks, refill and packaging supplies, refill equipment and compatible cartridges are the products of choice for more than 1500 dealers worldwide.
