    Shoplifters at Rock Hill Target linked to Gastonia theft

    ROCK HILL South Carolina — Two women are accused of stealing more than $1,000 in printer cartridges from Target stores in Rock Hill and Gastonia.Last week, two women placed $1,222 in ink jet printer cartridges and toiletries in an empty cardboard box at the Target off Dave Lyle Boulevard. They fled after being confronted by an employee, according to a Rock Hill police report.

    Later that night, two women attempted to shoplift a large amount of ink jet printer cartridges at a Target store in Gastonia by using the same technique. One of the women was apprehended by store loss employees and later arrested by Gastonia Police.

    Surveillance video showed that they were the same women who stole from the Rock Hill shop, the report states.Police have obtained an arrest warrant for the second suspect, a 21-year-old New York woman whose name was redacted on the report.She had not been located by the time the report was filed Friday afternoon.
