    Brother awarded education manufacturer status

The printer manufacturer has been reappointed within the National Educational Printer Agreement (NEPA) framework

Printer manufacturer Brother has been awarded approved manufacturer status within the National Educational Printer Agreement (NEPA) framework to provide printing solutions to consortia and affiliated members across the UK.

Brother has been an approved manufacturer within the NEPA agreement for the past four years, and has been reappointed following a re-tendering process.

It has partnered with three dedicated education resellers: Insight, Softcat and XMA, who all have strong relationships in the higher and further education sector.

Under the four year contract (2+1+1), Brother will provide printer devices and related accessories including managed print solutions to consortia and affiliated members, focusing on its A3 multifunction printers and mono and colour laser devices. The printer manufacturer will offer free evaluation and trial on site to demonstrate its solutions, and secure printing facilities.

The NEPA framework agreement is open nationally to all Consortia-affiliated universities and colleges of higher and further education, together with the research councils, in all six of the regional consortia, and London NHS Procurement Programme.

Mark Hayter, contracts manager at NEUPC said: "We’re glad to see that Brother has been awarded approved manufacturer status for the second time. It’s important for us to appoint partners who can add value to the NEPA framework. Companies who can offer competitive pricing under NEPA’s pre-negotiated terms help our consortia members achieve cost-effective procurement."

Michelle Molloy, senior business manager from Brother, said: "We’re delighted to have been awarded approved manufacturer status with NEPA again. Our effective, reliable printing solutions and our experience within the education sector enables us to deliver real cost efficiencies to higher and further education establishments when it comes to IT procurement. Our additional support, which includes a free UK-based call centre, free helpdesk and engineer training, along with our excellent eco-credentials makes up a compelling proposition for consortia members."
