Uk:Hi-tech Ink Cartridge Firm Collects Queen’s Award

A SHEFFIELD company that makes hi-tech materials used by inkjet printer cartridge manufacturers has been presented with a Queen’s Award for its export performance.

Darnall-based Diamond Dispersions has almost doubled its overseas earnings over the past three years and now exports more than 85 per cent of everything it produces, with 60 per cent going to the Far East and 28 per cent going to China, where it is planning further growth.

Although the Darnall-based company was only established five years ago with a single black ink product, it has grown into a leading brand with a range of more than 40 products and has grown by 40 per cent year on year for the last two years.

The Lord Lieutenant of South Yorkshire, David Moody, presented the Queen’s Award rose bowl and scroll to Diamond Dispersions’ employees Mansour Abubaker and Frank Arthur. Also present was Nick Scheinkönig, who devised the most of the firm’s products.

The Lord Lieutenant said: “From small beginnings to becoming a worldwide exporter, Diamond Dispersions have done an incredible job.

“I would like to congratulate and wish the company the very best of luck flying the British flag under the Queen’s Award for Enterprise banner.”
