UPS Store Adding 3D Printing at 100 More Stores
Fresh off a pilot program in six cities, The UPS Store plans to add 3D printing services at 100 more locations.

In 2013, the retail arm of Atlanta-based United Parcel Service Inc. (NYSE: UPS) began testing the Stratasys uPrint SE Plus printer, which can be used to produce items such as engineering parts, functional prototypes, acting props, architectural models, fixtures for cameras, lights and cables.

“There are significant differences between home 3D printers and professional 3D printers,” said Daniel Remba, small business technology leader at The UPS Store. “Many of the challenging and time consuming steps used to prepare a simpler printer are fully automated on the uPrint SE Plus, leading to added precision and reliability, higher print quality and a success rate that is unmatched by a home printer.”

The only UPS Store in Georgia currently offering 3D printing services is at 3522 Ashford Dunwoody Road in Atlanta.
