Bluegrass Ink open in Erlanger
Northern Kentucky residents Chad Longbons and Larry Bergelt have opened Bluegrass Ink at 659 Stevenson Road, in an Erlanger strip center.
The business, which serves both businesses and consumers, sells remanufactured and compatible ink, toner and ribbon cartridges for printers. Bergelt said Bluegrass Ink doesn’t keep a lot of stock but ships items directly to customers, typically within two days.
Remanufactured cartridges typically cost 40-70 percent less than new ones, Bergelt said.“You basically get the same quality; in some cases, it’s better,” he said.
Bluegrass Ink also collects old cartridges, which it then sends away for recycling and refilling. Anyone can drop off cartridges; companies with larger volumes can get a box to send used cartridges directly to re-manufacturers for recycling.
Hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
