a reorganization of its sales management structure, printing and
imaging equipment company Xerox Corp. has assigned a new leader to the
company’s Oregon operations.Rick Dastin will be the new president of
Xerox Office Group, which is based in Wilsonville. That business unit
is the former printer division of Tektronix Inc., which Xerox purchased
in 1999.Dastin, who’s worked at Stamford, Conn.-based Xerox since 1981,
most recently led engineering and product delivery for multifunction
equipment and controller software at the Wilsonville facility.
Russell
Peacock, who became president of the Office Group in April last year,
will lead the new North American Channels Group, which will manage
relationships with resellers, agents and distributors of Xerox
products.Another newly created group, the North American Solutions
Group, will deal with all of Xerox’s direct sales operations in the
United States and Canada. This group will be led by Doug Lord, who has
been head of Xerox’s U.S. direct sales operations.
In another
new appointment, James Firestone is now president of Xerox’s corporate
operations.Xerox employs about 1,800 people in Wilsonville, up from
1,573 in March last year.The Office Group has annual revenue of $8
billion, out of more than $18 billion in total revenue for Xerox over
its last four reported quarters
