MFC-7420: PERSONAL LASER FLATBED MFC
Perfect for the home office or small office, the MFC-7420
has a small compact footprint that takes up very little space on the desktop or
in the office. The base model for Brother’s 2005 introduction of laser flatbed
MFCs offers fast printing, copying, color scanning, faxing and PC faxing. It
also comes standard with parallel and USB 2.0 Full Speed interfaces3 and is
compatible with both Windows(R) and Mac(R) operating systems. The MFC-7420 is just as practical for entrepreneurs working
from home as it is for small offices where convenience, privacy or quick access
is important to people in their own work areas. Its fast print and copy speeds
of up to 20ppm, HQ-1200 (up to 2400 x 600) resolution for sharp text and
graphics, 250-sheet paper capacity and integrated flatbed 35-page automatic
document feeder capacity for maximum imaging versatility, make this product a
great choice for a large number of work situations. Not overlooking the importance of a full-function
stand-alone fax machine, the MFC-7420 includes a 14.4K bps fax modem with 8
one-touch and 200 speed dial locations. Dual access and Quick Scan operation
along with broadcast faxing to multiple locations is also available. The 16MB
memory, capable of storing up to 500 pages, ensures reception of faxes even when
the paper tray is empty. PC fax software is also included which allow customers
to fax documents directly from applications.Color scanning is another function available with the
MFC-7420. This is readily accomplished via the scanning glass for books,
magazines and other bound documents, or via the up to 35-page auto document
feeder. Items can be scanned at an interpolated resolution of up to 9600 dpi
(600 x 2400 dpi optical). An intuitive control panel design includes easy-to-use
scan-to buttons that let users scan directly to file, OCR or e-mail
applications. The scanning feature comes bundled with the award-winning
Scansoft(R) PaperPort(R) and OmniPage(R) OCR software for Windows(R) and
Presto!(R) PageManager for Mac(R).There are a number of additional features for enhanced
convenience copying. Functions that allow for reduction and enlargement from
25-400%, or producing and sorting up to 99 copies makes this feature-rich MFC
even more friendly.MFC-7820N: FLATBED MFC WITH BUILT-IN ETHERNET INFERFACE
Building on the base features of the MFC-7420, the
MFC-7820N is geared toward SOHO and small to medium-sized businesses where
multiple users will share access to the same output device. Not only is this
model great for office environments, it is also a perfectly suited solution for
the ever-growing number of home office networks where families wish to provide a
single imaging solution for multiple computers throughout the household. The MFC-7820N includes all of the functionality of the base
model for Brother’s new line, but adds the ability to do printing, faxing, PC
faxing and scanning over a network. Designed in part to accommodate these
