Jadi Imaging Wants to Be Among Top 3 Toner Makers
(malaysia)
TONER
maker Jadi Imaging Holdings Bhd aims to become one of the top three
biggest independent toner manufacturers in the world by 2008.
The
company is the sole manufacturer of toners in Malaysia and has a market
share of more than 60 per cent. It is the biggest in South-East Asia.
Jadi,
en route to a listing on the second board of Bursa Malaysia on February
28, is confident that its goal will become a reality, helped by the
expansion of its production lines and entry into new markets.
The
company will add two production lines, one in Suzhou, China, by April
and another in Malaysia by July to meet growing demand.
“Currently, we have three production lines with a total production capacity of 2,300 tonnes of toners.
“The
additional two lines will enable us to increase production up to 5,300
tonnes,” said Jadi Imaging executive chairman and chief executive
officer Liew Kim Siong.
The company makes only black toners.
In 2004, Jadi exported its toners to 34 countries and export revenue accounted for 94.4 per cent of total revenue.
