Will USA’s HP, Xerox and others make a stand in support of Ukraine, or will they turn a blind eye?

Challenging to say the least is the quest for Democracy in the West. Russia’s war aggressions for neighboring country Ukraine have left us all looking down the barrel of a global escalation with no end in sight. So, we are wondering what the big OEMs in our industry going to do about it? since it’s usually easy for them to stand-up for equal rights, BLM, LBGT issues, etc, etc. But this time it’s a straight up war involving two countries. So, to make a stand for good vs. evil would seem like an easy thing to do, but it’s complicated for businesses, due to product placement, dealers, distributors, and channels already in place for decades.

In a perfect world the answer would be simple, Putin needs to be taken out and peace would prevail. But the perfect world has issues, and since money, oil, and gas rules the perfect world, principals are sometimes hard to come by. HP is well known to take a stand vs. many global injustices and social issues but so far, the big US OEM has stayed silent on this war. So, what about Canon, Epson, Brother, Toshiba, and others, what’s going to be their stand on all of this? These next couple of weeks should shed a light on who’s got the right morals and virtues for their businesses.

Any company can put words on paper and talk about what their values are. But if companies aren’t living with the right principles in everything they do, it won’t matter what they say.
