The amazon roller coaster rides on, this time it will have to deal with a mountain of evidence (138 pages worth) that will be used against the famous platform for turning a blind eye to honest toner and ink cartridge remanufacturing and for defrauding consumers in doing so, and for helping Chinese manufacturers destroy what’s left of a once prominent industry.
This is a massive lawsuit with tons of evidence and surely more info that we can sit here and type. We recommend that you download this lawsuit for FREE and examine it for yourself, the evidence is overwhelming, and this surely shed lights on the continuous efforts and struggles of remanufacturing goods around the world, especially in our industry. Amazon was given plenty of evidence and time (2 years) to address this problem and to do something about it, instead they chose to do nothing and now they must face a $500 Million dollar lawsuit.
Excerpt: This action arises out of Amazons’ persistent violation of their own policies, federal and state laws, and stated environmental objectives, by the false claims of new built clone cartridges as being remanufactured and sold as recycled product on a mass scale. The products, almost all of which are made in China, are not original equipment manufacturer (“OEM”), but are new built clone printer ink cartridges, falsely listed and labeled as remanufactured and sold as recycled product, deceiving millions of Amazon’s customers in California and throughout the United States.
