Headline: Staples updates on green progress
21 November 2003 – Framingham (MA): Staples today issued an update on the progress it has made with its various environmental initiatives. Among the raft of results, the company revealed that it had increased average post consumer content on all paper products offered for sale from 19% to 27% and increased renewable power use from less than 2% to 10% of total US electricity consumption.
It also highlighted the progress made by its various recycling initiatives for cell phones and mobile devices as well its programme for recycling ink jet and toner cartridges.
