Meanwhile, the official U.S. International Trade Commission Epson ink-cartridge case shows that on September 23, 2026, the Commission issued a determination finding a Section 337 violation and ordering a limited exclusion order and cease-and-desist orders in Investigation No. 337-TA-1451 involving certain ink cartridges and components. The case originated from a complaint filed by Epson Portland, Epson America, and Seiko Epson. Finally, HP has released firmware 2628C for printers using the HP 305 and HP 307 ink-cartridge families, a development being closely watched by compatible and remanufactured ink suppliers.
