No one saw this coming, global supply chain issues gives the toner industry a break from the never-ending toner chip saga.

Canon’s announcement last week of bypassing their toner chips is sending shockwaves throughout the industry. The Chinese are smiling ear to ear knowing very well that they can now promote their fake goods with no issues, and this also gives a break to honest toner remanufacturers from paying for overpriced toner chips from that same Chinese cartel. Please don’t relax and think that this is going to be the new normal because we all know this is a temporary solution, and that the industry chip issue will shortly be back and be here to stay.

Of course, now all eyes on HP since Canon makes most of their toners and probably even most of their chips? and what about their ink cartridge chips, are those going to be bypassed as well, maybe so? This temporary break is actually good for the industry since chips and firmware have been ravaging everyone including confused consumers who know nothing about our divisive industry. This allow us to reflect on a simpler time, many moons ago when no one was holding no one’s cajones over a silly tiny chip. Just imagine how simple things can be if the powers that be, just made things simpler for all of us.
