Brother International Corporation Launches New Canadian
Depot to Enhance Printer Repair Services for Customers.

New Montreal Facility to Speed Up Repair Turnaround and Simplify Service for Canadian Clients.
Dec. 4, 2024— Brother International Corporation, a leading provider of mobile, desktop, and industrial printers, as well as handheld labeling solutions, today announced the opening of a new repair depot in Montreal, Quebec. This initiative is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to improve service for its Canadian customers. As a key component of the Brother Assure Service Program, the new depot will allow Canadian customers’ equipment to be routed to a local repair center, significantly reducing repair turnaround times and eliminating the logistical complexities of shipping across the U.S. border.

Previously, Canadian customers had to send their products to the United States for repairs, leading to extended wait times and potential shipping challenges. With the new Montreal depot, Brother will offer faster repair services by shortening transportation times and bypassing the need for cross-border customs procedures.

Initially, the Montreal depot will focus on repairs for Brother’s PocketJet printer series and RuggedJet 4 mobile printers. By June 2025, the depot will expand its capabilities to cover the full range of Brother products. Customers will continue to engage with Brother’s U.S.-based customer service and technical support teams, ensuring a seamless service experience.

“Brother is dedicated to delivering exceptional service for our Canadian customers,” said David Macedon, Senior Product Manager, Supplies and Services for Brother Mobile Solutions at Brother International Corporation. “Through our Assure Service Program, we offer comprehensive support that keeps their equipment operating at peak performance. By streamlining our repair process and reducing turnaround times, we are minimizing downtime and helping customers stay productive.”

The Brother Assure Service Program provides comprehensive support, including accidental damage coverage, an industry-leading two-year limited warranty (including printheads), and the option for extended coverage up to five years. In-warranty customers benefit from free inbound and outbound shipping, while out-of-warranty customers receive covered return shipping.

With the opening of the Montreal depot, Canadian customers will experience faster, more efficient service, with easy access through Brother’s existing online service platform. By using only genuine Brother parts, the company ensures continued product reliability, quality, and optimal performance.
