Canon India is planning a major expansion of its consumer printing business, targeting more than 10,000 active retail printer partners across 700 cities by the end of 2027, up from approximately 6,000 active resellers today. According to The Economic Times report, Canon is focusing heavily on Tier II, III and IV cities, where it sees opportunities among consumers, small businesses, education, enterprise and government customers. Canon is also expanding its retail and service ecosystem, including PIXMA Zones, PIXMA Zone Lite stores and its BizBee platform for system integrators and value-added resellers. The move comes as Canon looks to expand its reach in India while the global printer market faces broader shipment pressure, making the company’s aggressive push into smaller Indian markets an important development for the printer, inkjet, laser and MFP industry.
