Canon’s latest imageCLASS laser printer lineup is specifically designed for small offices and large enterprise workgroups. The new range includes two monochrome printers—LBP171dn and LBP172dw—and three monochrome multifunction laser printers: MF284dw (Print, Scan, Copy), MF286dn, and MF289dw (Print, Scan, Copy, Fax). It also features two A3 printers, the color LBP811cx and monochrome LBP468x, and a high-end color A4 printer, LBP732cx. With print speeds of up to 33 ppm for monochrome and 38 ppm for color, these printers are built for efficiency, supporting duplex printing and On-Demand Fixing technology for energy savings.Insights from Canon Leadership

The MegaTank models offer significant cost savings, with high-yield ink tanks capable of printing up to 6,000 pages in black and white and 7,700 pages in color using the bundled ink bottles. In Economy mode, these numbers rise to 7,600 pages (black and white) and 8,100 pages (color). Additionally, these printers are compatible with GI-71 ink bottles, which are ideal for users with less frequent printing needs.Minimal Downtime and Easy Maintenance

The imageCLASS laser printers feature On-Demand Fixing technology, enabling rapid warm-up and first print output in just 5 seconds—ideal for low-volume print tasks. For higher-volume printing, they offer speeds of up to 33 ppm (monochrome) and 38 ppm (color), making them highly suitable for busy office environments. With duplex printing, these printers reduce paper consumption, aligning with Canon’s eco-friendly goals.The imageCLASS MF280 series offers added functionality with an auto document feeder (ADF) for multi-page scanning. Scanned documents can be uploaded directly to shared folders or emailed, enhancing document management and collaboration.
User-Friendly Operation and Maintenance
The LBP170 series and MF280 series feature easy-to-read 5-line LCDs or 6-line touchscreen LCDs with a vari-angle operation panel. These printers display helpful messages for troubleshooting, making them simple to operate and maintain. The all-in-one toner cartridges simplify replacements, and with yields of up to 1,400 pages (standard) and 4,100 pages (high-yield), users can lower operating costs and reduce toner cartridge replacements.Seamless Connectivity and Enhanced Security
Several models in the imageCLASS lineup offer wireless printing, allowing users to print from multiple devices without the need for cables. With advanced security features like TLS 1.3, IEEE 802.1X, and Verify System at Startup, these printers ensure robust network protection. Wireless printing is further enhanced with compatibility for Canon PRINT, AirPrint®, and Mopria® Print Service, while secure Wi-Fi connectivity safeguards against data snooping. The printers also support cloud services for printing and scanning via the Canon PRINT mobile app.Printing Efficiency with Canon Printer Buddy App
