EU Toner Remanufacturer Turbon-AG, Now Regrouping After CEO Resignation.
Turbon AG completes latest acquisition – The Recycler - 22/12/2017
Following the sale of the shares in Turbon Products AG, Holger Brückmann-Turbon resigned from his position as CEO of Turbon AG on December 31, 2020. (© Turbon)As the company recently announced, the Turbon Group has realigned its core business with remanufactured toner cartridges. A central point here is the separation of sales and production: As is well known, hardcopy sales for the European market have been based at Turbon Products AG (Switzerland) in recent years. In addition to the two managing directors, Turbon AG (Hattingen) held a 60 percent stake in Turbon Products AG. Turbon AG sold these shares in Turbon Products on December 1, 2020 to the two managing directors and an investor they accepted.

In the course of this, Turbon Products AG has undertaken to continue to meet its demand for remanufactured laser toner cartridges at Turbon’s own production company in Romania (SC Turbon Romania SRL). Turbon Products AG thus remains an important customer of the Turbon Group for the European hardcopy business. How long this agreement is valid was not stated in the company announcement.

In addition to production, shipping for many of the Turbon Group’s customers now also takes place directly from the Romanian subsidiary. Embatex GmbH (Austria), also part of the Turbon Group, focuses on the distribution of toner cartridges in the northern part of Europe (including Germany, Austria and Switzerland), while the Iberian joint venture, Turbon Products Iberia SL (Spain), focuses on the Processing of the markets concentrated in the southern part of Europe.

There were also changes in the management board and supervisory board of Turbon AG: For example, the majority shareholder, Holger Brückmann-Turbon, had already announced on his return to the management board on October 1, 2017 that he would only take over this task for a limited period – the plan was two years. After the restructuring took longer than originally assumed and has now been completed with the sale of the shares in Turbon Products AG, Brückmann-Turbon resigned from his position as chairman and member of the management board on December 31, 2020. With effect from January 1, 2021, the Supervisory Board has appointed Holger Stabenau as the new Chairman of the Management Board. Stabenau stepped down from his position as member and chairman of the supervisory board with effect from December 28, 2020. At the same time, Dr. Barbara Lepper appointed as a new member of the Supervisory Board. In addition, on February 4, the Supervisory Board elected Paul-Dieter Häpp as its new Chairman.
