OEM Side channels can keep the manufacturing from Ninestar coming in directly to
foreign global locations, then they can easily ship it into the US without being noticed by customs.

Except for Lexmark, No OEM that has product manufactured by Ninestar has released a statement about the ban on Ninestar, in fact it looks like business as usual. No mention of human rights violations, the Uyghur genocide, slave labor, absolutely nothing?! Nothing from Kyocera Mita who has 83 products that made in China, nothing from Konica Minolta who has 25 products that are made in China, nothing from Sharp that has 125 products that are made in China, no mention from Ricoh that has 47 products made in China, no mention from Toshiba that has 70 products made in China, and last but not least Xerox, who also has 228 products that are made in China.

OEMs can silently keep Ninestar manufacturing for them, by simply having them ship their finished printers and toner consumable to another global location and from there, have it shipped directly into the US, undetected by customs. Lexmark out of panic did release a statement by trying to protect their moral obligations, but other than that, no statement from the above mentioned OEMs who all have products manufactured by Ninestar.

    Silence is complicity.
Increasingly, global businesses are confronted with the question of complicity in human rights violations committed by China. US and Japanese Print brands partnerships with these Chinese manufacturers, are for now ‘silently complicit’, since it’s an internal secret as to what exactly is being manufactured for them, and by who. Since to date, most OEMs have stayed silent in denouncing Ninestar, they challenge the conventional corporate responsibilities by doing so, even though they have the moral responsibility to help protect human rights. To Tonernews.com, choosing to not participate in an industry statement is in essence, to be complicit in the act of keeping Ninestar around. We will again reach out to Kyocera, Konica Minolta, Sharp, Ricoh, Toshiba, and Xerox for a statement on the Ninestar ban, but don’t expect a reply anytime soon or if any at all.
