Epson is doubling down on the future of industrial inkjet technology with a follow-on investment in South Korean startup Gosan Tech, reinforcing its push beyond traditional printing into advanced electronics and renewable energy manufacturing. While the financial terms were not disclosed, the latest investment builds on Epson’s 2025 backing of Gosan Tech, a company specializing in industrial inkjet systems for OLED displays, biomedical applications, and next-generation perovskite solar cells. Since the initial investment, Epson and Epson Korea have supplied PrecisionCore printheads, technical expertise, and service support that have helped Gosan Tech improve production efficiency, expand manufacturing capacity, and secure new commercial orders. The move aligns with Epson’s long-term ENGINEERED FUTURE 2035 strategy, which aims to transform its proprietary inkjet technology into a core manufacturing platform for high-growth industries, positioning the company to benefit from the rapid expansion of clean energy and advanced electronics markets.
