HP Provide Reading Materials for Children in Ukraine.
HP and Precision Proco have joined forces to provide books to children affected by the war in Ukraine. Each book is printed in dual languages, aiming to offer comfort to young readers who have had to relocate. Recently, a shipment was sent to Ukrainian libraries to support children living in conflict zones, while previous deliveries reached those who relocated to the UK. These dual-language books help bridge the gap between their homeland and new surroundings, keeping them connected to their shared history.

This initiative features customized books created by renowned Ukrainian authors and artists, filled with stories and illustrations that resonate with their culture. Utilizing HP PageWide Web Press T240 and HP Indigo 12000 Digital Press, Precision Proco is able to produce high-quality books quickly and efficiently for children in need.

The HP PageWide T240 prints at impressive speeds—up to 500 feet per minute in monochrome and 250 feet per minute in color—making it perfect for high-volume production. Coupled with the HP Indigo 12000, which offers offset-like quality and fast turnaround, this combination allows Precision Proco to produce a diverse array of materials, from books to catalogs, on various media.

Precision Proco efficiently meets the challenges posed by changing circumstances, such as relocations to safe zones with limited resources, showcasing the strength of HP’s technology in driving value for print service providers beyond routine applications.

The versatility of the HP PageWide T240 and HP Indigo 12000 enables Precision Proco to print short runs on demand, minimizing waste by producing only what is necessary, while ensuring timely delivery to volunteers for distribution to Ukrainian libraries.

By integrating HP SiteFlow, a robust workflow management software, Precision Proco enhances productivity with comprehensive print management and job tracking. This cloud-based solution allows for on-demand project management and order tracking. Through HP SiteFlow, individuals and businesses can support the initiative by sponsoring or customizing books for their communities.

“Working with Precision Proco showcases the collaborative strength of HP’s technology. Through HP’s digital innovations, Pineapple Lane, Book Aid International, and PEN Ukraine came together to swiftly deliver essential reading materials to children in need. This project has opened avenues for print service providers to partner with book publishers, leveraging digital print to positively impact vulnerable communities. HP is proud to support Precision Proco and its partners in this effort,” said Ashley Gordon, Publishing Segment Manager for HP PageWide.

“The collaboration among HP, Pineapple Lane Books, and Precision Proco exemplifies how we can empower nonprofits to use printed books to improve lives. Many initiatives like this urgently need support, and we hope that partnerships like these leave a lasting impact,” added Jon Tolley, Sales Director at Precision Proco.
