Canon and McDull Make Recycling Cool Again!
Canon Hong Kong is proving that saving the planet can be just as exciting as printing the perfect photo. At the 15th Canon x McDull Inter-school Ink Cartridge Recycling Award Presentation Ceremony, students from across Hong Kong were recognized for collecting thousands of used ink cartridges, helping keep plastic and metal out of landfills while learning valuable environmental lessons. The celebration didn’t stop with awards—students and parents also enjoyed a hands-on “Build Your Own Camera” STEAM workshop, blending creativity, photography, and science into one memorable experience. Since launching its Ink Cartridge Recycling Program in 2009, Canon has collected more than 295,000 ink cartridges, partnered with over 300 organizations, and educated more than 70,000 students about sustainability. It’s a fun reminder that every empty printer cartridge can become part of a greener future—and maybe even inspire the next generation of environmental champions.
