India’s printing market is seeing renewed momentum as both HP and Xerox report strong response to their latest printer launches. Each company is succeeding in different segments, reflecting the diverse needs of Indian businesses and print service providers.
Xerox is gaining traction with its new PrimeLink C9281 and C9265 printers, showcased at PrintPack India 2025. These “entry-production” color printers are designed for print shops and small commercial printers looking for high-quality output without the high cost of full-scale production presses. With support for heavy media, accurate color reproduction, and versatile applications—from envelopes to thick book covers—the PrimeLink series is proving well-suited to India’s fast-growing demand for short-run and on-demand digital printing.
HP, meanwhile, is seeing strong uptake in the office and SMB segment with the expansion of its Laser M300 Series. The new models offer high-speed monochrome printing, automatic duplexing, compact form factors, and lower operating costs. Features like high-yield toner, separate drums, and energy-efficient design are particularly appealing to Indian businesses focused on productivity and affordability.
Together, both companies highlight how India’s market is evolving: Xerox is tapping the need for flexible, entry-level production printing, while HP is strengthening its position in everyday business printing. Their recent successes underscore a broader shift toward more capable, cost-efficient, and purpose-built printing solutions across the country.
