HP Inc. and several other companies have settled with the government over cleaning up a Superfund site in San German, Puerto Rico, that has contaminated drinking water. According to the consent decree in the US District Court of the District of Puerto Rico, the EPA has been in negotiations with the companies regarding the remedial plan for the San German Groundwater Superfund Site since July 2022. The Environmental Protection Agency, in consultation with Puerto Rico’s Environmental Quality Board, selected a two-phase plan to remedy the pollution.
