Ink Fuzzy Opens Second Fully Digital Toner And Ink Shop in Germany.
The supplies specialist Inkfuzzy based in Schweinfurt opened its second fully digital shop on March 1st in Bamberg. The retailer, which has two stores of its own in Würzburg and Schweinfurt as well as franchise shops in Haßfurt, Bad Neustadt and Bad Kissingen, started its first digital shop in Lower Franconia in mid-2020 in Würzburg.
In the new shop in downtown Bamberg, customers can buy from an assortment of over 600 items without a salesperson standing in the shop. This works as follows: The customer registers with his mobile phone number at the entrance door, whereupon he can enter the shop using an SMS code. In contrast to other digital sales concepts, the customer does not have to install an app and can identify himself with very old cell phones. An Inkfuzzy employee in the home office or in the central office then shows the customer the way to the right sales item via video conference.
Payment is cashless. The receipt comes automatically from the receipt printer, a high-performance inkjet printer can immediately produce offers or technical assistance for customers. Due to the new concept, no mask has to be worn when shopping during the Corona restrictions. According to Inkfuzzy, the purchase processes are hygienic and safe in every respect. Since only one person is served in the shop at a time, the risk of infection is minimized. An air purifier that circulates the air kills bacteria and viruses with UV light.
“The idea for a fully digital shop came to me when I saw a report on Chinese mini-supermarkets,” says managing director Christian Lorenz. “Of course, the staffless branch is initially an experiment. The encouragement from our customers has encouraged us to continue on this path. ”A store in this form is a win-win situation for everyone.
