Kodak has announced the launch of its new KODAK SONORA UltraXR Process Free Plates, the latest addition to its process-free portfolio, aimed at printers across the EAMER region (Europe, Africa, and the Middle East). The new plates deliver significant performance enhancements, including up to four times stronger image contrast, improved white light exposure tolerance, and extended image stability for up to six weeks, enabling greater flexibility in prepress workflows. Designed for high productivity, SONORA UltraXR plates can achieve up to 400,000 impressions on web presses and 250,000 on sheetfed presses, while maintaining consistent quality and durability. Manufactured in Germany to ensure reliable regional supply and reduced environmental impact, the plates also eliminate the need for chemical processing, helping printers lower costs and improve sustainability. According to Kodak, the UltraXR plates represent a continuation of its investment in innovation, offering advanced performance at no additional cost to customers.
