This expansion comes in response to the surging demand for advanced chips driven by generative AI technologies and the growing need for high-performance data center components. The company will enhance its facilities in Osaka and Tokyo to meet the stringent quality requirements of both front-end wafer processing and complex back-end packaging. By utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as ion beam polishing and Deep Ultraviolet (DUV) light, Konica Minolta expects to achieve 40% annual revenue growth in this segment, solidifying its position as a critical player in the global AI hardware supply chain.
