Kyocera Offers Europe Partners a Free CO2 Calculation. Kyocera Document Solutions has been officially a “climate neutral company” since 2020. The output and document specialist is now offering a free CO2 footprint calculation to motivate its partners to take measures to save and compensate for climate-damaging carbon dioxide.
Sustainability is a tradition at Kyocera: Kyocera was the first manufacturer of laser printers to receive a “Blue Angel”. Since then, the company has been synonymous with environmentally friendly document and printing processes and now sells its entire product portfolio of printing and multifunctional systems in a climate-neutral way.
With its “Print Green” program, the manufacturer has now offset more than 330,000 tonnes of CO 2 through climate protection projects certified with the Gold Standard, thus serving as a best practice example for the “Alliance for Development and Climate”. The alliance of politics and society is committed to implementing the UN Agenda 2030 and the Paris Climate Agreement through CO 2 compensation in developing and emerging countries.
With its new offer, Kyocera is now offering partners a free CO 2 footprint calculation. A sustainability consultancy calculates the so-called Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) of the business activity from the consumption values transmitted online by the partners. The specialist retailer can then compensate for this CO 2 footprint via gold-standard certified climate protection projects and officially identify them.
