Lexmark Realigns European Leadership Team AGAIN.
Thomas Valjak and Michael Lang in new management positions.
Lexmark, a leading global provider of printing solutions, announced today that Thomas Valjak will be responsible for the overall strategy of the DACH region as Vice President Sales DACH. Michael Lang will also take on responsibility as the new Managing Director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland and Director National Sales. Both appointments were made with effect from December 1.In his new position, Thomas Valjak will set the strategy for the three areas of Distribution and GO Line, National Account Sales and the key account business in the DACH region. With the latter, particular strategic focus will be on the MPS and aaS business, which continues to gain in importance – thanks to increasing customer interest in purchasing or outsourcing as much infrastructure as possible as a service.
Michael Lang will lead the areas of medium-sized companies, public clients and financial customers, ensuring that synergies between these important areas are optimally exploited. The care of end customers of the public sector is merged with the BSD channel, so that any public institution can be reached and looked after even more comprehensively. In addition, Lang will support and expand both the savings banks and Volksbanks as well as other national financial service providers with a dedicated team – and here, too, profitably bring experience from the BSD area.
The change in position of both managers is accompanied by a leaner sales organization and a regional management structure, thanks to which the decision-makers will be even closer to the market and to the customers.

Thomas Valjak joined Lexmark in May 2019 as Vice President Channel EMEA. Before that, he had worked at HP for 24 years in different regions with various tasks in the areas of corporate management, channel and end customer business.
Michael Lang started at Lexmark in 1998 and has held various sales positions over the last 22 years, since 2010 as Director Channel Sales DACH. Lang will succeed Hartmut Rottstedt, who left the company on October 31, as managing director for the DACH region.
