Ninestar Opens Second China Factory With Output of 10 Million Printers and 100 Million Toner Consumables Per Year. Pantum, a laser printer manufacturer owned by Ninestar Corporation, has started operating its new factory in Hefei, the capital city of Anhui Province, China, on January 15. This is Pantum’s second production base in China, in addition to its existing factory in Zhuhai.
The new factory was announced in November 2021, shortly after Ninestar completed its acquisition of all of Pantum Electronics, as part of Ninestar’s ambitious plan to capture 25 percent of the global laser printer market within five years. The new factory in Hefei will produce printers and consumables, as well as serve as a regional headquarters and a research and development center for Pantum.
The factory covers an area of 200,000 square meters and has a designed annual output of 10 million printers and 100 million consumables. Pantum hopes that the new factory will help it expand its product portfolio, improve its quality and efficiency, and enhance its competitiveness in the global market.
