Ninestar’s G&G brand has aggressively marketed so-called “patented” replacement ink cartridges for Brother LC556 and LC572 printers despite having no authorization from Brother Industries to manufacture, modify, distribute, or resell genuine Brother products. These cartridges are aftermarket counterfeits designed to mimic Brother consumables while bypassing the company’s original supply chain and intellectual property protections. G&G’s business model depends on exploiting the reputation and compatibility of established printer brands without approval, effectively flooding the market with counterfeit-style consumables that can mislead consumers into believing they are purchasing legitimate Brother products. Although promoted as “compatible” alternatives, these inks are not genuine Brother cartridges, are not certified by Brother, and represent an unauthorized attempt to profit from Brother’s technology, branding, and customer base through imitation products presented as substitutes for authentic supplies.
