    Oregon City, Ohio — Oregon City Schools reported major savings this year after overhauling its copier and printing systems. Operations Director Dean Stanley said the district replaced its copier lease with Applied Innovations, ending its previous contract with Xerox. The new agreement reduced annual copier expenses by roughly 30 percent, delivering about $85,000 in savings compared to last year.

    In addition to the new lease, the district implemented PaperCut, a print management software designed to reduce unclaimed print jobs and unnecessary paper waste. By requiring staff to release print jobs at the machine, PaperCut ensures only needed documents are printed—cutting costs and supporting the district’s sustainability goals. These improvements are part of a broader effort by Oregon City Schools to streamline operations and reinvest savings into classrooms and student programs.
