    Following the sale of the specialty store and online business and the abandonment of the SMB business, Staples Solutions is repositioning itself in Germany. With offers around the logistics competence further specialized dealers are to be won as partners.

    At the beginning of November, the wholesale team from Staples had invited specialist retailers to their own logistics center in Waldlaubersheim near Bingen. Around 50 interested dealers used the opportunity on two days to find out about the range of services. Ingo Dewitz, who is responsible for B2B sales in Germany as Sales Director, and Daniel Ponce, Head of Wholesale, reported on the fundamental (re) orientation of Staples Solutions and the diverse possibilities for cooperation.

    Following the sale of the retail and online business to the Dutch New Office Center GmbH and the general abandonment of the SMB business, Staples Solutions intends to return to the core business with large end customers in office supplies and office equipment (from 2000 office workplaces ) and the upper middle class (from 250 office workplaces). “What we can not do – we can not provide the services of local retailers,” emphasized the Sales Director at his presentation in Waldlaubersheim. The business mastered the local retailers with flying colors. “What we can do with our wholesale function through warehousing and service, that the dealer continues to be successful, we will do,” said Dewitz.
