TD Synnex Introduces ‘Cost-Per-Click’ Option to OpenMPS.
In a recent update, TD Synnex has enhanced its OpenMPS managed print service by adding a new ‘cost-per-click’ (CPC) option. This new feature allows partners to offer customers a pay-per-use printing service that includes automatic replenishment of ink and toner cartridges as needed.

Under the CPC model, customers are billed based on the number of pages they print rather than paying upfront for replacement cartridges. The cost of ink and toner replenishment is incorporated into the customer’s invoice, streamlining the entire process through OpenMPS.

Chris Bates, Business Unit Director for Print and Supplies in the UK at TD Synnex, highlighted that the introduction of the CPC option is a response to evolving customer preferences. “As the IT industry increasingly adopts subscription-based models, many customers are drawn to the cost-per-click approach.

We continually gather feedback from our partners, and we believe that integrating this option into OpenMPS aligns perfectly with current market trends. It not only provides customers with clear visibility into their printing costs but also benefits resellers by automating the process and generating recurring revenue.”

Partners interested in exploring the CPC option can request a complimentary consultation with OpenMPS. Following this, a comprehensive proposal will be provided, encompassing automated printer supply replenishment, device installation, extended warranty, and a model for generating monthly recurring revenue.
