28 Dealers Rail To USFTC
Against Staple's Acquisition Of Essendant.
In the Matter of Sycamore Partners II, L.P., a limited partnership;
Staples, Inc., a corporation; and Essendant Inc., a corporation.
The agreed "firewall" settlement is not in the public interest, especially considering the historical business practices of Sycamore, the private equity firm that owns Staples. I'm urging the FTC to review this decision and, in doing so, uphold the FTC mission of protecting consumers and businesses.
